As far as creative portrait,
fashion and editorial photography in Abuja goes, the name Gottay reminds a lot of
people of excellence. I first met Gottay at about this time last year
during a portfolio review event organized by Behance.
To be clear, I am a
documentary and conceptual photographer who shoots weddings and events for a
living, and blogs for fun, and so at the event I had an open mind to- not see
who is better at my game, but who was doing something different. And, Gottay
topped my list.
Anyways, this is not a blog post about Gottay, but one about the fact that he will be dedicating four days, from December 14 – 17, to train entry-level photographers, and retrain amateurs, and expound the knowledge of other pros- like me. Haba!!! Why won’t I want to learn more?
This event is curated by Mastermind Studios. On the invitation note sent to me there is this detail:
“Being legendary is not about living forever, but rather about leaving a legacy, creating something that outlives time. Whether it is a story you wish to tell, sell a product, or just capture the beauty around you, photography is essential in your creative vision. During this workshop we will teach you the skills you need in order to make the transition from full automatic to full manual shooting. We will help expand your creative potential in fashion photography by showing you that simplicity is the essence of true elegance, as well as teach you to capture the images you have always dreamed of. Learn all these and more, by joining the LIGHT AND STITCHES workshop today.”
